I had to mention that Estee Lauder Double Wear Light was one of my favorite products for September, so today I am going to give you my full thought about the foundation.
I used to be in love with Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, but because I don’t like full coverage foundation so I stop using it. The Double Wear Light was introduced to me by an Estee Lauder brand representative months ago. She said the Double Light provides a similar concept like the Double Wear, except it, provides less coverage. With that being said, I decided to give it a try. I got the intensity 02.
The Double Wear Light foundation is claimed to be long-wearing, which can last up to 15 hours. This foundation is light as air ‘ long ‘wear makeup is lightweight. The Double Wear Light foundation goes on sheer, leaving the skin free to breathe all day. It helps control oil, smudge resists, and will not melt off through heat and humidity days. This foundation provides a sheer to medium coverage, with a natural finish. Double Wear Light comes in 10 different shades.
I had been using this product for about two months now, and wow I am still in love with. The foundation does seem very light and I often forgot I even had anything on. I wouldn’t say that this foundation provides a natural coverage like the way my BB and CC cream, but it does not appear very cakey on my skin either. One of the most important reasons why I am in love with the Double Light Wear is that it does not crease on my forehead when I made an expression or anything that involve my forehead to raise.
I tired apply this foundation with two different tools. For a light coverage, I like to apply the foundation with my beauty blender. The beauty blender provides the least coverage and the most natural finish. The water from the sponge provides extra hydration into my skin leaving it looking dewy and soft. For heavier coverage, I like to use my Sephora mineral foundation brush. This brush is very dense, which provides medium coverage. This method does not contain extra water, so does make my skin feeling a bit dry.

After Double Wear
Overall I give this foundation an? B ?. The foundation of the pigmentation was pretty good. I don’t need to use a lot of products to build up the amount of coverage I want. Its texture was extremely smooth, and light. Just because I have dry skin, I find the idea of controlling oil is something unnecessary. I also find that the foundation does give me a little itchy feeling; maybe because my sensitivity is not accepting it. The foundation is long-lasting, but I do not find that it lasts up to 15 hours. Without using a setting spray or powder the foundation would only last me through a whole day at work, which is approximately 10 hours. I don’t like to use setting powder because it often makes my skin look very dry. This foundation does blend very well when it is paired with a primer. The primer made the foundation easier to glide on, but when I try to use it alone with a brush it takes a little more time to blend. Would say that this foundation is smudge-proof because I didn’t see any product does not transfer to my phone. I do find its packing disappointing. For a foundation cost $37 each, I would expect it to be in some type of bottle rather than a tube. The amount of product is very reasonable for its price, $37 for 1 FL OZ. This foundation is extremely easy to get. Any department store that sells Estee Lauder, or selected Sephora would carry it.
I would recommend this foundation to anyone, especially those who have normal, combination, to oily skin. I would totally recommend this foundation to those who like lighter coverage, but still, want people to know there is something on the face. This foundation is great for everyday use. I wish this foundation would have more shades like the Double Wear. With only 10 shades, it will not match everyone skin tone.
